No one said this would be easy

Well, no-go on OMSI.  For now, at least.  They promoted someone internal (like you do) but encouraged me to apply for the position that person is vacating.  Hey, it's how I got my job at the Springfield Museums, so we'll see how that goes.  Trouble is, it may take two weeks to a month to post the job before I can apply for it.

In the meantime, commence Funemployment.  Daily activities as proposed:
  • Applying to sell my eggs
  • Registering as a substitute teacher/temp
  • Listing unnecessary possessions on Craigslist
  • Jump-starting my Etsy shop
  • Cleaning the house top to bottom
Fun times.  Fuuuuun times.

SIGH.

Thanks for all your thoughts and well-wishes, guys.  It truly means a lot to me.  Hopefully I'll have some better news to post here sometime soon.

    better news like hey, join the club!! :-) i'm sorry to hear about the job but yes, it is not the end of the world and perhaps the other job will work out or something else will... no worries. In the meantime, I'm usually available and would love to have a funemployment buddy! :-)
